Modern ridable horses weren’t always a thing, even here in real-life Earth. They had to be bred that way. If you had suggested riding a horse into battle to someone in say… roman/greek/biblical times? They probably would have laughed at you.

Having a horse pull something? Like a chariot, wagon, or a plow? Sure. But saddling one up and riding on its back? That didn’t come until much later in history, I’m pretty sure.

So, when you consider that [Runner] classes with [Runner] skills already gave this world a perfectly viable solution, they probably never even thought to breed and develop horse riding as a thing. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention.

He’s top tier, let’s be honest he’s going to be riding around on a dragon or something, it’ll probably at least have flight capability naturally or through items for cross continental delivery

I would imagine horses are simply unnecessary for most. Or simply not useful. With skills and levels, the better runners are probably able to keep even pace or even outpace a horse on their own.

Horses are likely very expensive though. Most Runners probably wouldn’t be wealthy enough to own and take care of one and they’re not really necessary with running skills for smaller deliveries.

Well there is Tritel, the Moonlight Rider, mentioned in 1.20R, but I supposed that doesn’t explicitly state that he uses a horse.
