I have started this book cause a friend told me i would like it. Things have been rough till now but this chapter took me by surprise. Pleasantly surprised that Erin actually went through with the killing and not just start feeding him or sth. Very excited now for the rest of the book

Even in those that try to address society issues, all they do is ignore the death because the character is so numb. It’s a good change of pace here.

True, they usually gloss over it and immediately have the characters steel themselves.
