However I feel like she should have sought help earlier, even if their relationship was kinda iffy due to the necromancer.

So many people were hostile but she was so passive when it came to the people who seemed actually okay to talk to her, and even fostered a bad relationship with them by being so uncooperative. She could do so much better!

And I’m happy Relc forgave her to an extent, as I thought their friendship was basically over given the unexplained trauma of the last necromancer, as well as the attitude towards necromanc in general. Also piscies is really dumb for revealing he was a necromancer at all…

You both are forgetting a few important details. She’s been there for under a week, and only lightly rinsed off in a river once. She’s been burned, cut numerous times, otherwise attacked by goblins multiple times, smacked by a giant fish, etc.

Erin is basicaly a hobo at the moment. In our world, she’d be lucky a lot more places didn’t simply kick her out or refuse service entirely. A hobo bumps into you on the street, and you wouldn’t expect a “sorry” from them? Right. Acting non-conciliatory in her situation would probably lead to pretty bad circumstances, compared to being meek as she is.

Yes, she could have been smarter about some stuff, but not everyone is great in social situations. Especially when those situations are way, way out of their comfort zone.

She probably didn’t think it would be a nice stroll through the city, but she also probably didn’t imagine it being a hostile stroll, either. She would have no reason (yet) to know humans were not really welcome. Immediately prior to getting to the market, her last interaction with a gnoll had been a very hostile one – it’s not strange at all that she chose to not shop with the seemingly friendly gnoll after that, even if the drake shopkeeper was rude.

It’s all well and good to say she was incompetent, but I highly doubt most anyone would do that much better than her, given her current circumstances.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s so frustrating. Granted, she is rather young and inexperienced, but still. She’s acting as if she’s still back home in her world. If you’re in a completely alien world, which you know jack all about, you’d be wary and kept your cards close to your chest. I mean she doesn’t know the rules, their language (she can’t read it), customs and above all the people. Heck! She doesn’t even know how she got there! You’d thing she would have some sort of consideration beside “Oh, it’s gonna be a nice stroll through City”. Maybe her [Class] as an [Innkeeper] does play tricks on her mind and, who knows, explains her absurdly naive and inexplicable behaviour (ignores friendly gnoll shopkeeper and does business with the sneering condescending and rude drake instead. WHAT?!). Maybe that’s just who she is. Hopefully she’ll learn in time.

The worst thing to do in a situation like hers is to flinch at anything and everything always saying sorry for no reason and the most stupid mistake that even a child wouldn’t make was to show her money to the shopkeeper while having no idea as for the price

She wastes so much time doing nothing, or even worse doing something which ends up being something stupid. How does she only remember about Relc and Klbkch after she already went to the city like?? You forgot?? Going to the city unarmed, with no object to carry things.

She has been at this inn for quite a while and she still sleeps on the floor… There are other rooms and beds upstairs!! Has she even taken a good look at this place?

And so on and so on…
