Only called that if made and matured in Scotland. Otherwise it’s just whisky (Scotland, Canada, Japan) or whiskey (US and Ireland).

ah, even if lesbianism is far better than simply geh, one must stay true to principles, i condemn homosexual vampires. ah, its even worse, is a lettuce vampire!. ffs.
well…i suppose writing around someone trying to keep a secret is hard, or we would go down the road of misunderstanding joke comedy. Still thats what this chapter was, we didnt even get the lil bit of plot fowardness usually given on the joke chapters.

It’s quite probable a blood bank simply wouldn’t have enough to gain a vampire levels. Assuming Fierre drained them almost completely dry, she gained only 2 or 3 levels from each body, which means anywhere from like 3 to 5 pints of blood per level. We still don’t know the mechanics of it, so it might be just a single chunk of xp from a complete drain, rather than piecemeal from smaller portions of blood.

Maybe, if someone was really, really high level, a single pint or so of blood would work. But I’d have to imagine it would fairly quickly lose any level granting powers once it leaves the body. A couple days, at most, and it would probably not be seen as a viable source to the system.

It wouldn’t be that simple, in practice, because Innworld has cross-species pairings. Even if humans still only have 4 basic blood types, what about a human-gnoll child? Do they inherit their blood type from the human side, gnoll side, is it some mix, or is it entirely different than either? How many types of beastkin are there, and do they each have separate types?

We were also told some blood worked across species, so maybe a common type that drakes have works like type-O for humans, and can be donated to almost everyone. Or a blood type that is “less useful” like AB could become more more useable for a different species.

Or, since you use the Walled Cities as an example, imagine if garuda could use any drake blood. Makes it very convenient for injured garuda in Pallass. But also.imagine the opposite, if garuda could be universal donors to drakes: what kind of draconian measures might the higher ups in Pallass decide to implement to force all garuda residents to donate blood?

Goblins might be a decent source of blood, but probably not levels. Most of their Classes are very basic ones, so they’d likely either not do much, or taste bad like the two muggers’ did. Hobgoblins might be decent for levels, but any tribe that had more than a single hob would probably be too large for a single vampire to take on, especially at low enough levels that a small tribe would be considered viable. The original Flood Waters Tribe, when Erin first arrived, seemed to have at least a few dozen goblins, with the only hob being the chieftain – and he was weak enough for Erin to take out, so probably much weaker than the assassins Fierre first snacked on.

That’s mostly her dilemma: she’s physically strong enough that a good sneak attack when she’s already up close can take out a target of decent level. But she doesn’t have the skills to take on multiple opponents at once, even ones that are only of middling levels. I would guess that she herself didn’t take out more than perhaps one of the assassins during the fighting, but rather nabbed the other two after they were already dead or heavily wounded.
