The land may have been sold as a change of “National Ownership”, but the Indigenous peoples will be able to carry on with their customs, their rituals, their lives as they were. They have that, and residence.

Worthy as a story in itself, as the growth of a young Ruler through impossible odds to be able to learn how to arbiter a Partnership with another Ruler that leaves them with an iota of self respect, and the ability to grow into the great Ruler they will be.
Thank you. My heart and brain cheer for Jecrass, and smile that Khelts Ruler will have a less boring unlife for a long while.
A wonderful chapter.

I’ll weight it with what I know.

Weigh -> weigh

Now she saw what Raelt had seen all the war.

The grammar sounds off. “had seen all through the war.” sounds better

Jecrass was able to hold out because Flos was always fighting at a numerical disadvantage. His Skills and high level munchkins made up for that deficit, but it has been noted a numerous times that even high level people can eventually be overwhelmed by pure numbers.

Fetohep has mostly ruled for 600 years in peace, but he was a warrior when he was living, and ostensibly a good one. His armies vastly outnumber Flos’ – even more so than any Flos has been up against so far – and he has undead of potentially greater capabilities than all but the strongest of Flos’ vassals. That would be a pretty huge threat.

Orthenon maybe could have raided the capital and taken it, sure. But that doesn’t mean he could have held it. Without taking the other parts of the country first, even had Raelt or Jecaina surrendered, the country would be ripe for violent rebellion from everywhere. Yes, they could pacify it just as they did Hellios, but that takes a lot of resources to deal with, resources that can’t be spared now.

I would assume nearly anyone that hasn’t been explicitly stated to have an iPhone, but has some sort of tablet/phone, is using Android.

For example, I believe only one person in the UN group was on the initial phone call, so potentially only one iPhone for that fairly large group at the beginning. Similarly, I believe only one or two of the Rhir group were in the call, so only a couple iPhones in that group.

Imani and Rose (I think?) were the only two in the call from Magnolia’s group, the rest are probably Android.

Many of the others have arrived as time went on, after the call, so hard to determine. Cara has her iPhone, but we never heard of any of the others in her group receiving the solstice text, except possibly Elena.

It’s only really relevant to specify between the two due to Aaron using them as a communication tool, anyway. We don’t really need to know if people have Android phones because no one else can use them for mass communication so far.

Flos is enraged and on a warpath against Jecrass and takes over a month to really defeat them. Now they fight armies that are at least 10 times more powerful combined after losing their best mage and without their best scout presumably after losing a decent amount of soldiers in the war against Jecrass and they are somehow only kinda on the defensive? Narratively it would of course be no fun if Flos lost because he got ganged up on but in the world it’s pretty inconsistent.
