Reading that it would be like a proper United Nations including the Nations representing themselves without having to be almost sycophantic to the “First World”.
The throw out of such themes throughout TWI is both a continual mind opener, everyone needs, and entertaining for the rich interactions.
Thank you for the Chapter of Introductions for the Gnollmoot. Some of us still mourn at the possible airflight reference. And some wonder for further parallel worlds or universes the lost ones may have been thrown too.
Could the Inn run without Erin and Lyonette for the time of the Gnollmoot?

In Teres’ defense. She’s a child whom is basically forced into being a child soldier for a fantasy warlord. Fantasy world aside, there are probably child soldiers in our world with similar character arcs to what we’ve seen from her so far.

It’s superstition and stupidity, its not logical. They’d simply argue that because Mrsha lived in liscor, she attracted all those events. Example being that there still exist people who believe the earth is flat, despite overwhelming proof that the earth is round

i suppose i should be suprised that there is not Howl’s Moving Castle mentioned yet. that is just staple.

Outsiders were only permitted to the outer region of the Meeting of Tribes unless they had someone to vouch for them.

?If, not unless

Good chapter, keep up the awesome job.

Lyonette’s dislike of Ryoka is entirely earned. Ryoka has been extremely selfish and thoughtless with regards to the inn. She abandoned Mrsha, and didn’t even have the most basic of care to send messages – when ahe herself is a dumb Runner, and takes messages all over the place. And then decides to go do something that has like a 99% chance of getting her killed, for which there is literally no reason at all for her to do, with zero thought of how it would affect anyone else around her.

Honestly, I was expecting her to say, “Fine, Ryoka. Go get yourself killed. But if you somehow survive, don’t come back here, ever. Mrsha doesn’t need someone as thoughtless as you to be a role model.”

Much too far. Pallass is nearing the limit of range already, and there is likely at least a couple hundred miles beyond that city to where the Meeting is being held.

Girls were (and still are) married much younger than that. Many people who setup arranged marriages only waited until a girl started having her period before she was considered old enough to marry. Girls were often seen as only having value for bearing children, so as soon as they were physically able to do so, they were seen as commodities.
