If Zevara could be involved, she might be enthusiastic for the second war defence machine placement. Second layers and all that defensive strategy stuff.

And Erin’s list of trusted people might grow with that.

“High-level [Archers[?”

Flipped closing square bracket.

wonder if teres would ever needle flos with, “say, did u look the minos artillery?, imagine that but with five times the range, and it being mobile, and flos would still say that it is easy, after being dealt a bloody nose.
now, minos seems to understand that money in explosives, is extra wins on the battlefield, flos has his garuda?, flying boyos, even tho the seven cant fly?, anyway put explosives on flying boyos and u got bombers, the stich people already been told they can graft animal traits, even if maybe frowned upon, history shows that anything to make the bastard next door bleed harder will be adopted. Seeems weird that flying people are not exploited as the best army units.

Now the real war begins. The real slaughter.
Fun times ahead, my boys!

It’s also probable that the key term in what he says is that they only help build the fishing boats. Gathering/cutting up pieces of lumber, or installing things like the seats in a completed boat, would necessarily inform you how to make the boat from scratch. Even if the attach the entire outer shell, they may not know how to properly make or design the frame – and on a larger ship, where the keel is massively important, this would be an extremely important factor between a small boat and an ocean-capable ship.

Additionally, nothing about Anand’s words say that he knows how to build a boat, just that the Antinium do. If none of the workers that went to the other hives have the knowledge, he’d be starting from scratch.

I dunno if he’d have enough steel for that, especially for the larger pieces. The scale of industry needed to make hundreds of tons of steel, much of which needs to be in large, single pieces, is quite possibly far beyond what medieval forges would be able to output.

It probably could be done with magical assistance, since that would eliminate a large portion of the difficulties. But even assuming they could theoretically make it, its still.A huge amount of metal required for even one ship.

It was said straight up in the phone call that Kent Scott ‘had no legs’.

My gold is still on our favorite Lamia Archmage
