Punctuation missing: should there be a comma in front of “sire”? If it’s Ytol talking to Flos, yes. If it’s Flos talking to Ytol, recommend deleting “sire.”

“The Rustängmarder stand ready to march. But your advance will be slower than the rest of the army’s sire. That is my command.”

It’s simpler than that. He’s loyal. He’s loyal to his people unto death and will fight to protect them to his last breath. He’s also willing to let anybody who wants to join become his people. Right up until the moment you oppose him you’re welcome to join the Flos party. That’s powerful. One of the strongest kings in the world ready to trash a continent over a group of dead gnolls who only wanted to join his team. Most people could only wish someone had their back like that…

Or just harass them to death, starve them out. Reim was a poor, under supplied, and small nation before flos awoke. Just raid them and cut off trade. Siege the city from a distance until they starve. Flos’ enemies are very underwhelming.

Colors have zip, zero, zilch to do with power. All they indicate is the nature of the skill. New, boons and blessings, and blood, respectively.

The pirate ship was too bizarre even for this series. First chapter that I can remember being quite annoyed by.

It slaughtered a throw away army how did his skill not handle them exactly? And they were taken completely by surprise with no high level strategist in their army, by the fastest ship in the WORLD piloted by one of the highest levelled [pirates] in the world. Of course they can escape factoring all those things? How does that not make sense? Just sounds like ur a fan of flos and want him to achieve world domination and cant take him taking the slightest loss for once. And it’s been described that if all the continents in chandr fought together they’d easily annihilate the king of destruction but noonr wants to be the first nation and army that had to endure his [army of the king] so they’ve been waiting for him to use it and have a good chance of defeating him. And you clearly underestimate his skill, it lasts until a battle is over, so for example if the battle was with a nation to get to their king then his skill will last until that battle to reach their capital is finished, essentially a kingdom destroying skill for whoever has to fight him first.

Possibly because I like the king of destruction and everything went poorly for him. That said, the battle was by far my least favorite. The pirate part, was pretty dumb IMO.

well i suppose the minos are just crazy cows overall then, same reasons as that pirate.
and flos, decided to save teres for some reason, or rather, she was the tipping point to useda army of da king, iirc he had another 2 abilities like that?, besides the recent one of city transforming one. well he wanted a challenge, why he mad when he loses, gg no re.

Sure, Ulyse dying is bad, and he did loose a battle against Raelt, but this was a real loss. I like his character, but I wanted him getting humbled at least once, actually humbled, because him laughing while fighting Jecrass’ forces and being all “look, war, cool, yay!” and “I’m doing this for my people” while killing hundreds, or even thousands was just getting really… I dunno, old? Unfun? I’m just not into the warmonger lifestyle, I guess. But seeing him suffer a loss, an actual loss for his arrogance is a bit satisfactory, honestly. Sure, he didn’t loose his elites, but that’s not the point. And now with half the continent in war with him, I’m curious how he proceeds.
