Erin and Maviola putting the flame of love on the Guitar of Numbtongue and then he playing lovesongs and imagination by John Lennon to end the riots.

Of course, this is assuming that Aba wanted her to be *right* about this, which considering her previous depictions I doubt.

Yeah because Magnolia righteously telling the mob “sure I’m your ruler but why should it matter to me if you’ve lost everything? Go fuck yourself you stupid poors” isn’t pro capital at all.

Magnolia owns, or at least runs, invrisil and the surrounding lands. She is effectively queen of a small nation state. A government’s only goal should be making sure its citizens are the best off that they can be. It is Magnolias job to make sure large portions of her citizenry don’t become impoverished.

Besides, as it has been well established, this many people losing this much money at once destroys economies. Stimulus packages and grain doles aren’t made out of the goodness of ruler’s hearts, they’re made because beggars don’t contribute to the economy.

This isn’t even going into the concept of how feudal (and capitalistic) economies treat people of the lower classes. A world without safety nets looks really pretty to Magnolia, because she literally could not comprehend what it is like to be poor. This is (one reason) why born and raised rulers are often so incompetent.

Great chapter! I love seeing Erin getting some more character growth herself lately. Keep up the good work!

Many of these lords likely didn’t participate in the siege directly (or possibly even indirectly), but rather just objected to Magnolia blackmailing nobles by way of threats to children and family members. Magnolia declared a Trade War against the people who sent her and the other flowers of shame, not because of who did or didn’t participate in the siege.

Even if they did participate, Erin is highly unlikely to know of any of them. She knows Veltras, but even the other main nobles involved (I.e. Byres, Gralton, Laken, Ieka, etc.) are quite likely unknown to her. She also doesn’t know the entire story surrounding the nobles sending flowers as an insult, so she probably wouldn’t have any reason to connect the nobles from the siege with the nobles involved in the Trade War. To her, they would be separate instances.

Told and his group teleported out before the creature arrived. It copied his looks, but badly.

That creature has been mentioned once before, very briefly. Probably a future plot point.

Bannerlady could be a pretty powerful buffing class, especially for someone like Erin. [Rallying Cry] to boost the morale of the entire force they are leading. Probably some sort of Charge skill or two.

Erin could probably get some sort of [Fire Is My Armor] buff, to give everyone something similar to the Heartflame Breastplate effect. Or possibly [My Army, My Fire’s Memory], letting her coat everyone in one of her fires that only affects either them (as a buff) or the enemy (as a rebuff; imagine army-wide Skinner fear memory). [Army Of The Inn] to give everyone buffs based on the various friends of the inn, either minor buffs from every friend, or a big buff for a specific person.

She has tons of options for great skills such a class could give her.

Since she canceled the level up/class change, she still has Warrior at level 2.
