They might be nice to use us while we’re useful, Aaron.

Sorry i just got here after just finishing all of the published books over the last like 6 months from when I first found them. I had no idea this whole site was here or how deep it went. I only had to wait like a week from when I finished the one before to when lady of fire came out(at least on audible) holy shit I’m so excited I didn’t know there was this much more for me to read.

That… Is something I’d never considered that makes a ton of sense. Although it could also just be suppressing homesickness. Ryoka’s parents don’t make her want to go back…

Rediscovered. Not developed. It’s been mentioned that they have no idea what it’s doing, just that it has the effects described wherever they found it.

pretty good chapter, how old are the wistramit earthers?, should be obvious that magic world would mean that phisics might be thrown out the window, maybe if they could make some magic telescopes, surely any camera could present the concept of getting magick eyes and enhance it, might watch some other planets, if any, or at least the moons.

like even in the Forgotten wing company the only deaths that would be at all worth putting to writing would be Niers, Venas, and maybe Foliana. With Wistrum only Pisces, Ceria, the golems as a whole… Maybe Palt.
with Izrils royalty. I’d care if Pink prick, or tiny orphan lady died I could be persuaded to care about Dog Lord dying.
Of liscor, there are many you could kill, it would be pointless to say kill Embria, Beilmark, Klbkch, or Olesm. But I’d care if Lism or Kershia died.

all of them are rather insignificant though. If you want people to put Any stakes on life, kill Mrsha, Ryoka, Pawn, Rags, Lynnette. Heck kill Saliss of Lights before she manages to be the hero that helps correct some of the evils of drake bigotry.
kill Xrn to cause the 3rd antinium war, kill whoever or something so that Niers and the world think that Erin is engaged to Ilvris.
I think I lost the plot for a minute, but the point is, stop pretending to kill people, it greatly devalues their existence, removes any stakes, and makes any character like Relc, Flos, Daly or anyone else even remotely vaguely a character in a combat situation not at all interesting, like Oh, a Flos chapter, meh, anyone with a name worth remembering will come out unscathed and there will be a couple sentences of recap that cover anything of interest in a 20000 word chapter

The Earthers struggling to remember their loved ones comes to mind. I wonder if it gets harder to remember the more levels you have?
Ryoka seemingly hasn’t had any issues remembering her shitty parents.

A travel distance of 10,000 a total miles would be easily plausible, especially when taking into account magic.

Most sailing ships of a similar time period had an average daily range of 100-120 miles. Magic would mean ships in Innworld are never really experiencing stagnant winds or headwinds. You could probably also typically manage winds that are blowing mostly in the direction you want to go. This means far less tacking needed, and a shallower angle as well. You could also keep the current similarly moving in mostly the correct direction.

Ships could also be enchanted in other ways, such as lowering water resistance, or cutting through the water easier. Objects of Holding would mean far more capacity with much less weight, so the ship isn’t a wallowing pig. There are also likely movement Skills that could make a ship travel much farther than normal.

All that to say, something like 200 miles per day would probably be easily achievable, probably as a bare minimum. A month and a half at this rate would be 9,000 miles. Given that the captain was a decently leveled Storm Captain, I could see it being a fair bit higher than that, putting it fairly solidly in the teens of thousands.

For the Antinium, considering they didn’t really seem to know how to use boats well, got attacked multiple times (and thus possibly turned around during any fighting and whatnot), and mostly just had the goal of “get off Rhir”, they could have sailed away in almost any direction. Them landing somewhere far away from where they originally wanted to (assuming they had a specific destination), or much farther than the closest points to Rhir, would not be that strange.
