A minor interpretation, but in my head when Cara said “I hate their thugs, [Knights] in armor, feudalism and hierarchy and all of this shit” . I heard the last word as “shite”

I’m not sure he’s a favored pet. I think he’s meant to showcase how unfair, powerful, and abusable the leveling system is.

Based on the Singer of Terandria series:

Cara should probably know who’s coming home. She knows Ser Raim personally, and she would be aware what they died for.

“We make the money we can, find good allies. Maybe Ailendamus. We back the winning horse.”

Would Cara consider Aliendamus?

well too many povs this chapter, flos going with cheats, first time i see carac, have yet to read the alternative books, and then the griffin prince with the suicide squad,
Last time red letters were introduced it was a cannibal, weird choise since goblos eat their own when in need, but acceptable, now we have a [Rapist], in verily red letters,

such inconsequential and highlited thing, what is a murderer in a war after slaying thousands?, a hero, idk if there is an equivalent for a rapist, but if he does not discriminate species, and does so with passion, i believe the class should reward it, no?, piracy seems to be respected and the work of wonders looks like, when irl it was verily red indeed.

7?

It’s not exactly plot armor, so much as Flos and his vassals all being munchkin characters.

Plot armor would have been Flos’ army getting cut to pieces by the Jecrass forces, until it was nearly only him and Teres left, then Flos killing Lael and the Jecrass army routing instantly even though they still had tens of thousands of combatants remaining, and Flos only had like 1,000.

This is just stupid OP character being OP because reasons.

This is actually consistent with everything we’ve seen. Red Classes/Skills seem to have some sort of negative mental effect paired with them.

A Murderer isn’t necessarily mentally unsound in any way. There are a lot of reasons one could become a Murderer and still have no mental trauma or the like. This applies to a lot of Classes, such as Bandits.

That doesn’t mean it isn’t ever red, though. The Murderer woman that the Horns encountered when they were arrested in Celum hinted that hers was a red Murderer Class. She had mental trauma from her actions, and thus got the red variant.

Rapist would probably be similar. You could very likely have both red and white versions of that class. Think of someone that commits statutory rape: they might not see anything inherently bad with what they did, and it is only the law and arbitrary age values that define such. That could earn them the white variant. On the other hand, someone that goes around raping people to get off on their pain and victimization is almost certainly going to be touched in the head, and would have the red variant.

I would imagine many of these Classes could easily devolve from their white variant to the red over time, if the practice is kept up. A murderer that continues killing, even if they originally never had any issues, is going to end up developing some sort of psychopathy after a while.

Not even close for any of these. It was mentioned that the people of Drath have fought and beat these types of creatures before, and that they come from beyond The Last Tide. Unless the gods of this world are weak enough to allow people to defeat them numerous times, they aren’t anything close to the power level of a god.

Plus, we’ve seen a glimpse of how strong Klbkch and Xrn are. Yet even with them plus another large number of Centenium, along with the highest level Antinium Queen to ever exist, didn’t stand a chance against a sleeping god – i.e. one that probably wasn’t really actively fighting back, just using whatever passive defenses it has. One type of creature spawned by that sleeping god started a world war that lasted 800 years.

Whatever the beings are that A’ctelios is made from, they might be very strong, but still nowhere close to god level.

The streets getting narrower was what broke it for me. I could understand the changes if basically the entirety of the city was used to make the walls stronger/bigger, enhanced their foundations, and create the towers. But doing aall that while.making streets narrower would absolutely mean extra material had to come from somewhere. Basically everything noted as being done would require extra material, but nothing is noted as being significantly smaller or removed to provide that material.

The 100 level cap was only a theory, never confirmed. While anecdotal evidence supports either a hard or soft cap of that level, there is no definitive proof.

In addition, while levels in other classes likely do increase the experience required to gain levels in your primary class, it almost certainly isn’t 1:1. In other words, a person with two level 30 classes won’t take as long to reach level 31 in either class as it takes someone with a single class at 60 to reach 61.

The same is true of total levels for overall power. A person with two level 30 classes will be nowhere near as strong as a person with a single level 60 class. My personal theory (+<level> “stat points” for each class level, modified by class rarity) would make a person with two level classes about as strong as someone with a single class at level 43.

Also, as noted many, many times in the story, Rags is essentially a genius. She has also been under extreme adversity for nearly all her life. These contribute greatly to her leveling speed.
