The cozy times are my faves and I am here for it!

Yes, let’s take the door to somewhere that participated in the wholesale slaughter of thousands of goblins! Sounds totally like something Erin would be up for.

Riverfarm is currently out of range of the door, regardless. And Reizmelt is quite a bit further north than Invrisil, so it would be way out of range.

Erin would likely be more angry at Laken, as soon as she found out he was involved in the siege and all the goblin deaths.

But beyond that, Riverfarm is small. Like, not even 1/100th the size of Invrisil. And it isn’t a hub town. Taking the door there, even assuming it was within range, would not be nearly as useful as keeping it in Invrisil, even with all the fees and restrictions in place.

Beyon even that, Celum is likely also under Magnolia’s control, as is potentially Wailant’s farm. Her decree could still be effective in both of those locations.

It was noted that Pelt started getting better immediately after she put the coin away in her pocket. While it may only be a correlation, it would indicate that it was the coin itself – and not just him working on it – that was the cause.

Beza believes that Wistram is protecting the Earthers, so kidnapping them and taking them into “protection” could easily be viewed by her as being an honorable action. The prison box puts them effectively in stasis, so they could just put them all to sleep, throw them in, and take them with zero injuries or mess.

Not saying that’s the correct way to look at things, but it could very easily make sense to an Innworlder. Especially when the alternatives for many/most Earthers that Wistram has found has likely been lots of injuries, trauma, death, etc.

The fires do have an effect on Erin, to an extent, even if they don’t burn her. The effect doesn’t seem to be nearly as strong as on other people, but it is still there.

With the hatred fire being invisible, it would have been affecting her the entire time she was upstairs playing chess, without her noticing it. So, she’d be getting more and more angry all by herself. Then, she comes down and it starts spreading, with everyone else heaping more fuel onto it – as it can burn them easier – after which she pull all of that back to herself.

That’s gonna be a lot of extra hatred than she would normally feel.

Also, as far as moving the door goes, that wouldn’t really be as feasible as it was with Celum. Magnolia doesn’t just control one single city, but a huge region. You’d have to move the door hundreds of miles away to get away from Magnolia’s control. Invrisil is basically the #2 city in the entire northern half of the continent, after First Landing. Moving it anywhere within distance to the inn, but outside Magnolia’s sphere of influence, would make it mostly useless other than pure distance traveled – though that extra distance is going to be way off in another direction, so might not be that useful.

Don’t forget that Celum is also likely within her region of control. Wailant’s farm might be, as well.
