It would be a tragedy if a gnoll couldn’t enjoy the joys of chocolate

I can’t believe she still hasn’t found coffee. I was sure when that soldier was eating roasted coffee beans for a pick me up Erin was going to have coffee at the inn within a week. Ah well now that she’s going to have chocolate she can discover the coffee beans and introduce inn world to mochas.

ah, but the real aim of the chapter, chocolate!, and it cannot be copied as easily, if she manages to do the thing.

Except for that one time during the moth attacks when Pallass could barely send reinforcements through due to mana limits.

And that time during the siege of Liscor when Pallass could barely send reinforcements through due to mana limits.

And when Pallass finally got somewhat interested in using the door, but barely anyone could come through due to mana limits, so Lyonette probably lost a pretty good number of sales.

And during the creler attack, when Pallass had to gather most of their mages to send through a relatively small amount of reinforcements.

And during the wyvern attack when Liscor could only send a few people over to help.

Need I go on? Virtually every emergency situation in which the door has been useful has been severely hampered by the mana limitations of the inn.

No one besides Xif (and his friend), and now Saliss, know that the faerie flowers are difficult to grow.

It’s also highly likely that the flowers are easy to grow in the inn specifically because they were given to Erin by the fae. Mrsha probably has nothing to do with it. Lyonette, by herself, was able to effectively regrow them from being nearly entirely dead, when she first took over the inn. The flowers will likely never grow easily anywhere outside the inn, regardless of how high level whoever attempts it.

It was listed specifically as [Inn: Garden of Sanctuary], so yes, it is actually an Inn Skill.

From the way is sounded during the last Toren scene, and how to quickly he seemed to be able to regenerate, Erin’s inn quite possibly has denser mana than the dungeon. The inn might not have a total capacity higher, but it can produce it at a faster rate.

In other words, the dungeon could recharge the door better for a while, until all the mana was used, after which it would be slower. So it could be useful for however long that took.

But, it would also be exceedingly dangerous to put the door there. The dungeon seems to be at least partially aware, and I can’t imagine it would take kindly to shoving a huge mana gobbling artifact inside. It would be under almost constant assault by the dungeon.

Regarding the first point, I would argue it wasn’t the moth attacks that really started the spread, but the Liscor siege. That was the point that Niers truly saw the power of a worldwide audience, due to Olesm’s speech in Pallass, and then went on to deliberately use it for his game at Daquin.

Prior to Niers’ game, it was only used sporadically, and was based on whether or not a viable mage happened to be present at the scene of something worth showing. Niers turned it from that into “I am specifically requesting Wistram mages be sent to broadcast X to the world.”
