It’s never healthy to be completely irreplaceable. People need breaks. We have 2 parents. Companies usually have an owner and a manager or a team lead. Professional craftsmen and such have apprentices and assistants. We grow old and die if nothing exciting takes us out first. It’s foolish not to prepare for emergencies and replacements. That doesn’t mean they’re after the job right now or that they won’t be missed and a bit of something special won’t go with them.
