I have a theory about Goblin history, in the years and books since this comment was written maybe it’s already been revealed (whether my theory is right or wrong) or maybe it’s being saved until a long, long way out. I should be all caught up by the end of the month so at least I’ll know if it’s been revealed or not soon. The faeries and Teriarch know who the Goblins were. They’ve said or thought things along the lines of the goblins being a heartbreaking tragedy. We haven’t encountered anyone else who knows who the goblins were, including for the most part the goblins. Greydath knows something but we don’t know what or how much, Tremborag Knew something, and we keep learning that the Gonlins have lost a lot of who they once were.

you know who else no one seems to know what happened to? The Elves, there are half elves, but no elves. They don’t seem to know what happened to the elves, the faeries HATE the half elves. We’ve seen people turn into monsters when life has forced them to make terrible choices to survive (I’m sure we’ve seen this with more than just the florist but I can’t remember who, even the florist is enough though). I think it’s a definite possibility that the elves somehow became the goblins.
