Considering everyone that Octavia pestered basically told her to go to hell and fix her problem herself, I’d have to say you’re projecting a bit too much hatred onto Erin alone.

Octavia could have easily gotten help from someone if she just came out and asked for it properly. Instead, she does her normal wheeling and dealing, Oh aren’t we such best friends! act that no one wants to bother.

And it’s not like Octavia didn’t get herself into the mess in the first place. She started the conflict by tossing effectively a Molotov into the other alchemists’ shop. By all rights, she’s getting what she deserves, in large part, up to this point.
