She had a destination and went straight there, it’s like how you’re daily route is nothing similar to what a tourist would take

The quiet inn was coming alive. Because its owner was on the move. And The Wandering Inn got ready. For anything. Because if you knew Erin Solstice, anything was the least of what you should be ready for.

“She’s Erin, uncle. Erin. I can’t predict what she’ll do. If there’s anyone who could—win the election by making fish fall out of the sky, it’s her.”

Erin is once again up to shenanigans and the people know only to expect chaos, what a sight to behold.

“Hold on! We’re not done debating!”

Lism called after the crowd. Krshia uncertainly looked at Erin’s back. But the crowd barely glanced back. Someone shouted up at Lism.

“I know, but I really want to know what she’s going to do with those two. We’ll be back!”

Erin using her own reputation as “the crazy human” to her advantage, she knows people just have to see what she’ll do next. Smart.

The crowd oohed as Maughin, sweaty

Can dullahans even sweat? They have metal armour for skin.

The lack of weight equipment is another result of leveling and classes. Most people would likely take the simpler route of just exercising with their normal weapons, or possibly with weighted practice weapons, since that would not only train the specific muscles you need, but also potentially get you experience to level up. If no one really studies the body like we have on Earth, they wouldn’t realize the benefit different muscle groups could have on your overall performance – exactly what Grimalkin says he’s trying to get people to learn.

And for the most part, it makes sense they wouldn’t realize that connection, again because of levels. Leveling up increases base bodily stats, so for most people, that increase would be sufficient. The extra effect it would have on trained muscles would be greater, as Grimalkin shows, but those gains likely wouldn’t come fast enough to really be noticeable by most people.

That’s one of the major flaws in Innworld. Because the system shortcuts many things, even something as simple as training weights can be completely overlooked as unimportant, because they don’t directly increase your level like combat training would. It’s essentially the same concept as school: they don’t see the benefit of something like a Student class, that would only exist to make you learn better, if that Student doesn’t directly roll into something more practical.

It’s possible such things – as well as weights and such – did exist in the past, but became superfluous if they can be consolidated into other classes, or if it wastes too many levels and Skills that end up less useful after consolidation.

Yeah, Pallas is the odd duck out with the other Walled Cities because it’s the only democracy.

Liscor may be a backwater outpost right now (in the minds of everyone who lives in a “real” Walled City), but Pallas may suddenly take a great deal of interest in closer ties with a new (and the only other) democracy on Izril.

I think the ideal solution for the city is to take both offers, and double in size.
