Thomast indicates that the reason he doesn’t carry his bell is because it is too noisy. But Pisces has indicated (I believe in Wistram Days) that if you make noise while carrying the bell, you aren’t considered worthy of having said bell.

Despite the description, I doubt Ryoka was actually running at a full-on, maximum speed sprint the whole time. She was definitely going faster than what would typically be a speed you’d run that sort of distance at.

That being said, has given the times and distances stated, she was probably matching the fastest mile-sprinting speed for a woman on Earth, for the entire duration, or thereabouts. This would probably be a decent bit slower than what someone could do for a 100m dash, but still crazy keeping it up for that long, even with the wind always helping and potions.

Also, seeing her become a Courier in the near future will be interesting.
