And did Headscratcher even go Berserk? Disappointing. Seems unbelievable given their characters to this point.

just as well the faux pass of suddenly trying to get the city when the hummies charged,
and the goblin lord body not found after being run down by veltras, and then he being on the inn, i though it was noears.
also supa necromancer still having pain receptors, even phantom as they were, i mean, he got ripped by zel so me thinks he should be able to ignore a severed limb…and then he got fixated on veltras?.. think i forgor something from the antinium wars.

so what about casualties, i think the goblin lord army was around 100k, and it says a 1/3 of it was the caves+redfangs+ragtag tribe, so 30k, say the 30k halfed, or became 10k before reiss had a change of hearth, and the goblin lord lost about 10-20k, which werent lost really cuz they became undead… eh

on a side note, poor pawn, the rest of the antinium got blue balls kek.

I think a lot of your wishes for things to happen and your disappointments are fairly unreasonable.

Evacuating to the dungeon would never have been practical. All of the entrances are outside the city – and some distance away – which means either opening the city in advance, or trying to evacuate 90,000 citizens while goblins and a human army tries to murder them all. Never going to happen.

The hive would be slightly more practical, but even under imminent threat of death, most gnolls and drakes would balk at going into the hive. They are barely comfortable with Antinium at all, trying to stuff 90,000 people into unlit, small tunnels filled with what many still consider horrible monsters would just not work. You might get a few people going in, but probably only a couple hundred at best.

It didn’t take just “one army” to rout the Goblin Lord. It took 40,000-50,000 goblins using better tactics, a group of Antinium protected by their faith, tens of thousands of shield spiders, and then literally the humans starting to drive them at the city again. The goblin army stalled them, but they were far from the only reason Reiss’ army broke.

Magnolia’s plan only came at the very end, when arguably everything was done. Had Tyrion continued to try and take the city, even his super flimsy excuses would have fallen apart completely. He was solely acting on emotion at that point, and it’s quite possible much of his army would have not followed his orders to directly attack the city, as that was not what they originally joined for.

Garen took a wound to the heart from Az’Karesh which wouldn’t heal. Meaning the entire time he was fighting the Liscor army, Embria, and Relc, he would have been continuously been bleeding out and weakening. And while.none of the others are at his level, Relc is likely close enough that he could fight evenly with a weakened Garen – which is exactly what we see.

There was stated to be heroes long ago in the world, but no one remembers how to get the class. Being from another world is likely not the requirement, especially since not all.of the Earthers have the class.

I do agree that some people should probably be able to figure it out, but I don’t think it would be as simple as you make it out to be.

Every time Reiss has displayed significantly better abilities, it has only been after he was truly confronted up close and in person. Against Zel, he just threw Deathbolts until Zel got close. Against Pyrite, it was the same thing. In this battle, his speed of raising the dead was perhaps beyond what he should have been capable of, but he didn’t really use anything truly high tier or unordinary until the hobs were fighting him directly.

No one really knows the true capabilities of a Goblin Lord, so many people could easily just see his actions as being normal. Perhaps he was just arrogant up to that point, and didn’t feel the need to “help out” as much until he himself was in true danger.
