I am so incredibly disappointed by Laken. I genuinely almost quit reading this chapter when I realized it was going to be from his perspective again. I really hope that changes by the end of this chapter or sometime soon. He was such a cool character and now I intensely dislike him.

You wouldn’t even have to kill them. Just take the kids and hold them as “wards”, away from the dangerous warmonger of a father.

This would also likely be effective against many of the other Lords and Ladies that Tyrion has with him. Which could be what Magnolia needed her group of Ladies for: to go snag a bunch of other children.

And if their parents try and retaliate to take their kids back, well, that’s when you start having a kid slip when they’re eating dinner and their steak knife just happened to cut their throat, and oh no, all my healing potions were just stolen! Such a shame!
