If we’re going by Earth standards, a Chef would be a trained professional, who would typically know how to create new dishes based on their understanding of flavors and ingredients. A Cook would be someone that was able to prepare dishes based on existing recipes, but usually wouldn’t have any formal training and/or experience to try and invent new recipes.

Those wouldn’t be hard and fast rules or anything, but more generalizations. The class evolutions you listed would probably be correct.
