I am aware that there are good examples of your species—once, my team encountered a group of—of noble Goblins in a city besieged by their kind and the undead.”

Ylawes is so insufferable. I can not stand him ever, and this? After all this time he STILL hasn’t realized the Hobs are THOSE goblins? Still? He knows there’s the same number of them, he noticed that they fight the same way, he’s an idiot but he’s not stupid and yet has never noticed they wear the same markings or have the same damn faces? I don’t care that they were goblins before and now they’re hobs, it’s not like humans don’t know that goblins become hobs, they don’t think they’re two different types of “monster”. Okay he is stupid. Stupid Ylawes is stupid and I can’t stand him. No wonder Yvlon tried to avoid him for so long. I can’t believe she hasn’t punched him in the face yet. Now that her arms are all reinforced thanks to Pisces she should definitely punch her brother in the face. Erin should wander by just as she punches him and go “oh cool are we punching Ylawes now?” Then wind up a big ole Minotaur punch for him.

I wondered if that whole teeth thing was of any importance. Was it just to show that Erin could be hurt as well? Until now she’s always escaped each and every encounter unscathed. Well, mostly, she did almost die in her fight against the Goblin Chieftain back in volume 1.

So yeah, I just assumed this was to show that Erin isn’t invincible, but now that you mention it Pisces could have done something to her teeth. I don’t think it would’ve been anything malicious if that’s what you’re implying, but I do like Ghost’s idea that he might have used Archmage teeth.

Damn, the second part sounds very poetic, I like it. Was that intentional?

Toren already found the entrance to the inner city way, way back when he first went into the dungeon. He went in and then NOPE!’d out pretty fast.

Rags – and by extension, much of her tribe – would probably detest the dungeon. Not only would it invalidate a lot of the tactics they’ve already started using (not enough room to bring hundreds of crossbows to bear; most rooms/corridors too small for 20ft pikes; doubtful carn wolves would enjoy it; etc.), but the food supply would probably be a big issue. It never seemed like the cave goblins had an extensive food supply to begin with, and adding another 10,000+ goblins wouldn’t help.

Trying to push in the inner city would also be a huge issue. The outer areas are “safe” for goblins, but the inner portions are guarded by the enchanted armor and infested, both groups which seem to have no issues of invisibility towards other dungeon inhabitants. Rags’ goblins would have no real benefits fighting against the armies, and while they’d probably do better now than against the first one the fought long ago, there are thousands in the dungeon. The infested would also not be that easy, and then they’d have the looming threat of the Mother of Graves to deal with – an entity that, if it was anything close to the one Niers fought, was able to mow through an army probably stronger than the goblins.

Honestly, everything points to the goblins all wanting to get away from the dungeon, not go live in it.

Erin is nearing level 40, and I wonder what that has in store.

I want to say so much more but I’m just lost for words.
Thank you for creating this masterpiece.
