It’s so interesting to me that multiple people ship Pisces and Erin. I see them more as like brother sister energy. Like they fight and squabble and they go through rough patches where they can’t stand each other, or one (Erin) can’t stand the other (Pisces) and yet underneath it they love each other deeply, and they’ll always have each other’s backs if it comes down to it.
All that said, I totally respect and support your ship and I’m happy this scene made you happy :D

True I didn’t think of that! I mean maybe this is the reason why Garen only beat her up instead of killing her right away and eventually agreed to let her live. It could also be part of what strengthened her bond with the 5 hobs and helped give them the strength to stand up to Garen, knowing that they have an unshakable ally and friend in Erin. Of course all of this could be explained without that skill, and maybe the skill helped it along and boosted it a bit. Kind of like the magic orb that the Gnolls shot into the sky.

I feel like Erin’s hobs desperately need Pisces healing! Didn’t they all get tons of broken and shattered bones? I don’t know how they would survive being half killed by Garen with just healing potions

Thanks for explaining the dynamic with Garen’s four teammates, the ones that he killed. It didn’t make sense to me that only one of them had said give us the key or we’ll kill you and then he decided to kill all four of them. Like it never shows the perspective of the other 3 half seekers that he killed. But yeah I guess if one of them said that, and no one else contradicted her, it makes sense that Garen would assume they all felt the same way, even if they didn’t.
For all we know the other half seekers might have felt confused or shocked or frozen by their teammates harsh response towards the key and her threat towards Garen. Maybe they were still processing everything and didn’t know what to say or do and then before any resolution could happen, they’re all dead.
The timing was a bit disjointed and unclear. Although since we’re getting all this information through Garen, and this is one of, if not his most traumatic memory, it makes sense for it to be disjointed and missing some pieces.

One thing that came up for me in all this is that Garen, and no one else, has ever said that the treasure the key unlocks will lead to another Goblin king. Just that it will be the salvation of his species. Historically, Goblin Kings have been the opposite of the salvation of Goblins, at least in the end. So it doesn’t make sense to me that Garen would say “hey this key unlocks treasure that will save my species” and then everyone jumps to the conclusion that the treasure will bring about a new Goblin King.

This was the first time I had gotten to a full cry with this series. The poetic farewell to Garen riding off and what (I thought) was the end of the Halfseekers had the tears streaming down my face T_T SO happy when Moore barged through a little bit after and all 3 lived, PHEW!!!
Incredible chapter!!! Things are ramping up!! Super cool Erin has some bear-ish teeth now (my lil shipper heart adored Pisces freaking out over her bloody mouth)
SUper nervous but excited for what is to come!!!

Going. Going. But what hurt most was the flash of crimson that kept appearing in the distance, even when he was a distant shape. It meant little until you remembered that a Goblin’s eyes were crimson. Until you thought of Garen, riding faster and faster as the wind blew across his face. But always the crimson light shone towards the Redfangs gathered there. It meant one thing that hurt most of all.
He kept looking back.”

This passage broke me.
I almost teared reading that. Thank you for the brilliant chapter
