Fri, 27 Feb 2026 04:57:04 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.1 By: Heaven https://wanderinginn.com/2019/01/22/5-54-2/#comment-172352 Fri, 27 Feb 2026 04:57:04 +0000 http://localhost/wandering-inn/?p=5454#comment-172352 I echo what everyone said in that this was an epic masterpiece. And wow it’s all still the lead up. We haven’t even gotten to the full blown action yet.
Wow bird. Bird is so precious and I love seeing all the love for him. It melts my heart.
I am nervous to see what happens next. I hope that it doesn’t turn into one of those bad things happen and then it gets worse and worse and worse.
I really hope that good triumphs and that love conquers. As opposed to the realistic life is suffering and then you die…
Please let this be a hero’s conquering journey and not a tragedy! Please please please! Please let the characters we love be happy. I know there will be death of course, just please give us some hope and some relief and some satisfaction and resilience for our beloved characters!

“The Dullahan fixed his head to his  shoulders and grabbed another piece of paper.”

Double space between his and shoulders

“Simple to speak of, difficult to achieve.  Ideally,”

Two spaces after the period. Fine on its own, but inconsistent with the rest of the writing.

well what to say, suppose the highlight would be bird crying, and kbhzx being given more deferential treatment than the grand queen, suppose the same goes to the small queen.
another contester for the big E tittle, bloodshed shall ensue.
typhon fucking cunterest of cunts, and the polite thugs that just fucking died.

Retreating into the dungeon would be hugely impractical. Liscor is a city: the civilian population vastly outnumbers the Watch and soldiers and everyone normally capable of fighting. Trying to move something like 90,000 people into the dungeon in 4 days would be a massive undertaking, even if the dungeon was actually safe. That’s not a trivial number of people to displace.

Doing so before the fighting started would be a huge hit to morale, since it would mean you don’t think you could hold the city. Doing so while the city is actively being attacked would mean moving a vast host of people while under fire.

Even with both the hive’s entrances – all of which are extremely unsafe, and regularly under attack – and using the magic door, you probably couldn’t move everyone. Even if you did manage that, you now have tens of thousands of civilians at the mercy of a dungeon that is a deadly threat to gold rank adventurers – and unlike the goblins that can move in relative safety, the dungeon would be very active in trying to kill all of those civilians.

Only the expensive bags of holdings are that big. And thieves wouldn’t have those.

When the Queen was holding Bird and rocking him I started crying. It’s been a long time since a book was good enough to build all the emotional beats necessary to evoke tears from me. Thank you Pirate

I 100 percent agree. I think this is the best chapter I have read so far. Plus it took me 4 hours plus to read, which is great!
