I can just *feel* the sun on my skin with the imagery in this chapter. I love Erin always knowing how to help, even if she herself is feeling helpless <3 I did love when Ryoka made sure Erin was okay. It’s always easy to forget that the one who is always smiling sometimes needs to biggest hug <3 <3 <3

I love the small family they have here too <3 Just the 2 adventuring groups, Erin, Lyonette, Mrsha, and Bird <3 <3 It’s warm and soft but also makes me worry for what’s ahead lol. Also loved that Erin and Yvlon got to hang out solo for a bit too! <3

She told Erin back when she was explaining auras that they don’t always require a skill for people to have one. Between her helping Erin practice her aura, and Lyonette’s new mindset of wanting to get stronger – leveling up whatever she can, practicing with her sword every day, etc. – it would make sense for her to try and develop her own aura, even if she doesn’t have a skill for it.

This assumes that Ashfire bees – giant, monsterized bees living in a magical world – have developed exactly the same way as they have on Earth. That’s a dangerous assumption to make.

Apista is also a queen bee, which do not have barbed stingers normally. That makes the change relevant.

Even if Ashfire bees normally have barbed stingers, their sheer size could make it viable that they’d be able to tear out their stinger without ripping their guts apart like smaller bees. Apista is also larger than normal Ashfire bees, and is bound to a Beast Tamer, so this could go doubly for her.
