Doubt there’s that many cave goblins. We saw something like 50 with the group of 20ish Rhaskgar, and the hunting groups don’t seem to go around with significantly more than the number of Rhaskgar in the group. If you assume there are maybe 2,000-3,000 Rhaskgar total, you’d probably have something like 4,000-9,000 goblins, maybe. I would probably put it on the lower end of that estimate, purely from a food perspective. Even with hundreds of thousands of monsters in some of the nests, Rhaskgar and goblins would probably require more food per individual than all but the largest monsters.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think goblins have trouble understanding Common that much, they just can’t really speak it.

Plus, many of the cave goblins have probably been around Calruz a decent bit, so might have picked up some stuff from him.

They’d fire her because they are hiring someone to do a job, not stand around and talk all day. And while some people might appreciate news, sure, a gossip doesn’t always just spread news.
