“Lyonette starred at the Bone Horror following him.”

Should be stared, not starred

I have a theory going that places of power can control what their mana goes to (for example I imagine a certain group of door stealing mages may find themselves not being able to cast magic in a inn) so the dungeon feeds the monsters but for ‘hostiles’ they don’t have access to the extra mana despite it being there

Things actually do attack Toren, so an undead army wouldn’t be completely effective. Same with the goblins. Not everything will attack either of those groups, but they aren’t 100% safe.

At the very least, we know the head collector attacked the goblins, and they had zero defense against his paralysis. We don’t know if it would attack undead or not.

The only things that “respawn” are monsters, and they only do so through breeding.

Dungeons don’t just spontaneously generate magical items. Dungeons are built around existing items, using them as lures for traps, or treasure to be earned by future generations.

The Rite to bring back Klbkch takes a while to do, and requires most of the Queen’s attention. I somehow doubt right now would be a very good time for Klbkch to try and fix his levels.

Even disregarding Tyrion, Klbkch deliberately dying for around a week right as the Rhaskgar are at their strongest would.be incredibly foolish.

I would think Toren can absorb ambient mana mostly due to the Archmage’s bones used to create him. Every other time we’ve had mention of strong undead that actively require mana to exist, as soon as that supply is gone, they break down.

There is likely a way to get around that, but I imagine it necessitates a given undead to have a built-in animation spell, not one that is a work in progress or actively maintained. Similar to Toren, you’d have to actually carve the spells into the bones, giving them an anchor to exist independent of the caster.

All of Pisces’ current bone horrors are basically prototypes. He’s still figuring out what works best, what is the most efficient. He hasn’t had the time or resources to really sit down and make a finalized product, one that would be viable to use in any situation. That means they are going to be much less efficient for their mana usage than what might be possible later on.
