I’ve also felt confused and kind of unsettled from seeing the different sides of Klb. I think he does have empathy, he just puts up walls and goes into business mode like “must be a warrior and defend the hive and do scary shit,” kind of like how pyrite has a really sweet soft side and then a scary rage side, that he purposefully leans into when his role demands it of him. Woa just realized that both Klb and Pyrite are the second in command to powerful female leaders..

Bird is so sweet and as an autistic person I was like holy shit bird is totally autistic, and birds are his special interest, it just hit me in this chapter. Finally. Wow. I love him and I love that he loves himself, and he embraces who he is and he’s not afraid to say no and that his singing melts the heart of the queen. Wow if only I could be this fearless. I love bird now!!! I already felt very fond of him and now I feel very fiercely protective of him.
