This kind of grief over things that truly “shouldn’t matter” not because they’re silly (like Lyon feels right now that it is) but because in all this time since she first ran away she has grown, she has processed, she has healed, she really and truly does appreciate the feeling of being useful that she never had as a Princess, and she really will be okay…but this finality, this loss of the class has a finality to it that just leaving it behind didn’t. So often as people when we grieve something like this others don’t understand because we should just “get over it” and move on, they don’t understand that we actually have gotten over it, we have moved on, but this moment is still a moment.

Also, I really hope Pawn throws Lyon a Ball. Like I said I haven’t finished the chapter yet so maybe by the end of the chapter he will have already started that ball rolling….to make a truly terrible pun.

Klbkch would be more like the really old war veterans, that had been in the military since they were like 16 years old, and that’s all they’ve ever known. The world has changed around him, but it’s only been very recently that he’s realized some change might not be too bad of a thing, even if those changes are annoying, and hard to get used to, and often terribly disappointing.

Here she was. The one who would lay out his sins. The one who could move his heart. His creator in some ways. His savior in others. Terrifying, wonderful, magical, and peaceful. Pawn wished she would leave. He feared what she would do.

It is easy to forget how scary Erin must be to normal people

I wonder if she’ll eventually factor into their religion lol. Erin the Goddess of compassion, or something. Love it

The alternative is “loose”, and firearms were so named because they used to be physically ignited with fire, I think.

I feel like she shouldn’t be. Like yes, it would be nice if she was actually 100 percent okay with it… but seeing how important it was to her, for so long… It feels wrong that she would accept this so easily.

Fairly certain there is no alternative to using the word fire?
I believe firearms were named after the word firing and not the other way around.

I thought it was hilarious. And as pointed out by typo finders all the time. INNWORLD uses the term fire for ranged weapons even without the invention of firearms
