At first I was feeling annoyed at the whole bury your gays thing, and then the way you ended this was so sweet and heartfelt and honestly felt very respectful, so I forgive you. And I’ll repeat: we need more LIVING gay characters. Thank you!!

Wait what encounter with Az??
Is this about the secret “l apprenticed myself to an ancient being for knowledge and power” where a lot of ppl assumed Pisces was talking about Az?

Also, am I the only one who actually loves Pisces? Yeah, he can be a bit annoying, but the way some characters treat him is sad to watch. The way Selys interacted with him was very refreshing. I hope we’ll get to see more of him in the future.

u see, gehness was allowed in the irl old world, it was actually encouraged, cuz boys fighting in a phalanx “will fight harder if their love is on the side” eventually it was proven wrong, but even back then it was duty to leave offspring, for u still need new boyos to take up spears. So u could say that gehness make women very much lesser, for they were not allowed to take a similar aproach. HA!.

They probably took it off and got assassinated. It’s a hard look to pull off, armor in the bathhouse.

The fire surrounding his body would have made it impossible for Oom to do much to him. The fire beam from the golems is what eventually allowed Zel to get at Oom’s core, so the breastplate would have likely been similarly effective.

Bea either wouldn’t have been able to touch Zel as easily, or the fire might have destroyed the plague before it could actually affect Zel’s body. Even if she managed to touch him and plague him, it would have set her on fire, meaning less plague buildup throughout the fight. When Selys put it on, there also seemed to be some sort of vigor effect, as well, which might have helped.

Most of Ijvani’s spells that she used would have probably been nullified by the breastplate’s fire aura. While she probably had other spells to use, not being burned would have been a huge advantage for Zel’s sustainability through the fight.

Kerash wouldn’t have been massively affected, but as fire is typically strong against most undead, it would have been a helpful deterrent.

Venitra is about the only one it wouldn’t have made much a difference too, unless the flames were strong enough to damage her bones. They didn’t seem to be quite that strong, though, as they didn’t even do all that much in close proximity to a wooden desk.

Being an effective defense against the three of the Chosen that arguably did the most damage to Zel would have been a huge shift in the outcome of the fight. It’s really too bad Zel didn’t let out even a single hiss of pain during the fight.
