Idk it’s interesting, if you think of it as like the different species being different races, it would be like not allowing members of a certain race to stay in an inn because a child who lives there has trauma with members of that same race, which doesn’t seem right.
And, as someone who has trauma with straight cis white men, and would not want to be in a house with a group of them who I’ve never met before, I can totally empathize with Myrsha. I can see how being in that situation could feel retraumatizing.
Myrsha is in a position of having less power and agency, both by being a child and by being mute and not being able to speak up for her needs or negotiate with Erin either verbally or through writing.
All she can do is show that she’s upset with Erin’s decision through non verbal actions, she can’t have a dialogue with her.
I empathize with Myrsha, Erin, and the Goblins, and I’m rooting for all of them. Clearly the situation is not sustainable, and I really hope that things can shift and transform for the better for all of them, rather than end in tragedy.

I think because the symbols don’t mean anything to them, just like you cant make a language out of names like bob or karen these pictures have no meaning other than as a name

All soldiers have crude fingers. They have four arms, two of which are weapons, and two of which are rough hands.

I imagine she understands just fine. If these goblins were from the Goblin Lord’s tribe, she probably wouldn’t be nice to them at all.

But she also understands that people shouldn’t be condemning an entire species for the acts of a relative few. She herself was able to get over the trauma of being attacked by goblins multiple times, as well as the trauma of them essentially forcing her to kill another humanoid being for the first time in her life.

So far, these goblins have all been entirely peaceful (other than retaliating against Bird, when he shot them first). That is potentially the best situation for resolving Mrsha’s trauma, even if it may not be the nicest way to go about doing so.

The Antinium attempted to monopolize the dungeon, to begin with. The only reason they uncovered it for the non-Antinium to find was because it was starting to take too much of a toll on their population, compared to how much they could produce. That, unfortunately, only exacerbated things. But it’s still essentially the Antinium’s fault that they are in the situation they are in.

Developing any form of more standardized communication right at the moment wouldn’t really be that useful. I believe there’s still less than 100 of the painted Antinium, and they are still dying faster than they can be created. Virtually all of the communication they need to do at present can be taken care of by hand signals and the limited hive mind telepathy they posses.

Until there are a significant number of painted Antinium soldiers, or those individual soldiers want to communicate with people outside their small group – whether that be workers, or the people of Liscor, or whoever – there would be almost no use for more extensive communication methods. There would be some use, sure, but likely not enough to create a whole system for it.

Now, in a few months from this point in time? Assuming they make the process of becoming individual more streamlined, such that there is a positive increase in their numbers, then communications would be more important. Having the newly made Antinium live for more than a few hours or days is a much bigger priority.

This is a very stupid comment. She’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. Mrshas trauma is not healthy, and she needs to confront it.
