Why would you be mad at Pisces, who did the best he could, and not mad at Ryoka, who knows the secret to expanding mana pools and that Erin wants to be a mage?

“Not like a Runner who make it to Invrisil in two days!”

make –> made (or makes?)

I believe they meant one round trip teleport. So one person could go to Invrisil and back once a day.

Yes, if they did the initial teleport at midnight, you could probably just barely fit two round trips in a full day, especially since Erin is probably smaller than Ryoka by a decent bit (Ryoka is quite tall, and very physically fit).

But assuming even a start time of sunrise for the first teleport, you’d have someone stuck on the other side of the door overnight. And even a single round trip means spending about 8 hours on the other side.

Some additions:

I don’t believe anyone that has classes would be able to learn fae magic. Even if Ryoka does learn it, it’s also likely she wouldn’t be able to teach it, either.

The Typhenous/Revi thing was possibly wondering if the swordswoman was one of her summons, and/or a potential summon for her later – a solid adventurer would have a good chance of dying down there, but would make for a great summon if Revi could capture her spirit.

The Horns should still have the map of Albez, but they likely don’t want to bother much again. Last time they were there for over a week and got really lucky, even after checking multiple places the map seemed to indicate. As well, with their new find, the place will likely have a large uptick in other adventurers exploring the place, at least for a while. Would probably be pretty chancey for them to go back so soon.

The Antinium are having more problems with the dungeon monsters because all the activity from adventurers is waking the place up more. Adventurers pushing monsters back from areas they have claimed, which forces them against other monsters deeper in, which forces those towards other monsters, etc.

Windows would generally either be completely open (with shutters), some type of paper/cloth screen, or glass. There really isn’t many other options. Glass is expensive, but having completely open windows would likely be a no-go – way too easy for monsters and things to get inside. Screen windows could work, but they are nearly as nice or robust as glass would be. Heat loss would only be one factor to consider.

I doubt Erin would be able to specifically grant classes to her workers. If she could do so, everyone else that hires people should be able to do so, and nothing we’ve seen indicates that. Granting classes is likely limited to royalty, and maybe nobles to a lesser extent. She could, however, potentially open up the possibility for new, different classes. I could see barmaids getting something besides just a typical [Barmaid] class, or a cook getting some sort of [Wondrous Chef] type thing.

I thought Invrisil was something closer to 600 miles from Liscor when a distance was given way earlier in the story, but I could be misremembering. That was likely just a really rough estimate, though, so 500-odd miles would still be within a reasonable distance.

For the safety stuff, as an emergency evac portal, so long as it’s within range of the door and the door has enough power, I believe they would just need more activation tokens. Pisces makes one out of a random mug in the inn to do their testing, so presumably they could make as many as they want. The biggest factor would just be enough power available at longer distances – assuming the power draw was linear, all 4 Horns would need to be within about 125 miles of the door, assuming it had maximum charge, for them all the evac.

Did Erin drop out of primary school? She called them nerds for… doing—maybe—middle school level maths…
