I agree about her fear of her master dying. She seems really distraught about the upcoming battle. She’s turning to pisces for emotional comfort and yet she’s still very deeply unsettled by his practice of necromancy so being around him both comforts and dysregulates her at the same time… and then she’s taking it out on him and behaving quite unfairly cause she doesn’t know how to process or cope with it all

Wait yes I noticed this too! I was like “wait is this a casual inclusivity of non-binary pronouns?” I really cannot get a read on queerness in this story.. it’s like a mirage that seems to blink in and out of existence

I agree but I see a tactic developing here. Pisces unintentionally tricked Cognita into giving up info on how Golems work. That could be used to attack the golems in the next chapter.

It’s obviously bad to abandon a true friend, but Ceria’s actions are even worse than that. She’s refusing to help Pisces where he once helped her when the positions were reversed.

When Ceria was ostracized and hated for being a half-elf, Pisces unwaveringly stood by her, helping her stay at the academy. Now Pisces is the one ostracized and hated – this time for being a Necromancer – and Ceria turns her back on him, doing nothing to stop his expulsion.

To be fair, standing by a Necromancer might require more from Ceria than what Pisces risked for her. But IMO the actions he took still carry a similar moral weight – because, when he helped her, he had no reason to. No personal stake, no prior bond. Pisces’ loyalty came first, without hesitation or personal gain, and Ceria’s failure to repay that loyalty is all the more painful because of it.

So yeah, Ceria looks bad. But I think this adds to the story, as thus far she seemed to be one of the few main-ish characters in the story without glaring flaws.

She forget everything he has done for her, making ceria look really immature, I’m wondering if half elf mind also grow slowly? Like she has nearly 60 but she has the maturity of a 20 yo, anyway I rarely comment but ceria made me really furious this chapter, pisces on the other hand is true to himself, I really enjoy these wistram chapters!

It doesn’t mean ” draai de tafel om” (I’m dutch). That is the dutch translation but I have the feeling it has a deaper meaning. ???
