Agreed! With all their apparent riches they were apparently too cheap to even get someone with Dangersense, ffs.

All of them are main characters. This story was formatted that way. But this story was also formatted around Erin’s Wandering Inn. We think of Erin as central, and she was in the first part. But as we’re expanding, the story grows to include all of the main characters as they start their journeys. For Erin, we start from her perspective. For the other main characters, a few chapters here that describe what is essentially their “prologue”, then their lines begin to merge into the main story, following in pace with everyone else. Incredible world building, and keeping track of so many characters is truly a great feat. The story is grand and long, seemingly planned to be from the beginning. Yet it maintains its pace and never falters. Each character has flaws and personality. They change over time and also remain the same. All things from one inn.

GOBLIN KHAN!
GOBLIN KHAN!
GOBLIN KHAAAAAAAN!

My favorite side character is the [Emperor]. I would love for him to meet Rags, accept her tribe into his empire, and declare her Goblin [Khan].

“For that matter , why did he belong with the female Goblins anyways?”
There is a space before the comma.

I did wonder if rags would somehow bond the skeleton or something and become the new master looks like not

I like the writing in chunks. We get more of the story, it’s not so much cliffhanger, not that you do that, and we can remember what happened better.

The stories are almost always great reads. You’ve got a real flair for “humanizing” monstrous characters. Never thought I’d feel bad for goblins.
That being said, I think, from a reader’s perspective, it would be a bit more satisfying if the narrative threads were tightened up a little. Maybe focus on three or four characters until we get a goodly amount of plot spun out. But thats just me.
