But is Mrsha the last of her tribe ? As far as I remember, a few a adults carrying the other children from the tribe reached Zel Shivertail's army. Did something happen to them ?

I have several nits to pick with this chapter although, don’t get me wrong I much prefer this healing reparative happy ending to heaps on heaps of trauma.
okay first one is: seems unrealistic for the queen to speak so freely to klbkch in front of myrsha. Second, how does Myrsha survive in the dungeon so long while she waits for the dream team to come and rescue her? 3rd, seems unrealistic that she ran all the way to the queens chambers without getting captured or killed.
4th, this chapter seems disproportionately like everything works out here with a neat little bow on it vs other chapters where everything is awful and no one can catch a break.
I’m getting emotional whiplash like wait is this a story where good things happen to good people or is this a story where our hearts get yanked out and crushed over and over D: Or it just switches back and forth and you never know which one you’re gonna get?
I guess I’m craving some level of consistency in the level of emotional safety between chapters. Although it’s probably not going to happen, it helps to voice it.

What an incredible chapter! I would have never imagined that teamup that formed to save Mrsha, loved every moment of it. I hope she starts to heal now.

I think this chapter kind of encapsulates what The Wandering Inn is really about in a microcosm.

It’s about people who have been through trauma, whether in this world or another, and about how life can be incredibly hard and unfair sometimes. But with a little bit of willingness to help and to do the right thing, to put past conflicts aside even just for a moment, to have just a bit of thought and compassion, you can still make things a better place.

Even if you hurt, or have hurt people, there is hope. Especially when we are willing to at least try to work together.

In reply to rhhxhchchxjdj. You do realize that, aside from Krshia, virtually none of the gnolls in the city care for Mrsha whatsoever? Her fur color makes her a walking death flag for their beliefs. They are probably hoping she goes and gets herself killed to spare anyone else from whatever doom she supposedly brings.

Did Toren try to save Mrsha?

maybe the thing that gives people a conscience is being made aware of your own mortality, since Toren is now living on the extreme edge if he can’t find a sustainable source, from before he was immortal so long as he could chill for a few minutes
