To each their own I guess. I really liked this arc. It didn’t feel like the characters were shallow at all and I was deeply invested. I personally think you did a great job Pirateaba. It’s interesting rereading through TWI a second time I actually skipped the Toren chapters, in fact I skimmed a lot of chapters partially due to my exams and impatience. However, damn am I glad I came back. Really good writing double thumbs up.

They are enemies with the goblin lord. They just saw the engagement as too risky until a friend died and they became invested.

Haha very true I noticed this too.. although I am a sucker for this kind of thread too much to complain about the inexplicable upgrades to their emotional intelligence

It’s not pathetic, it’s beautiful :’) We all deserve redemption. That was basically the moral of this arc. No monster is truly a monster. At least not forever, and not irredeemably.

He was created by both of them, though I hold Pisces a bit more accountable for not sharing more knowledge with Erin and equipping her better.
It would only have taken something along the lines of “this skeleton is not a robot but has the capacity to learn and to feel emotion.”
Granted, Pisces may have not understood fully, himself, but he could and should have done better.
