“and indeed, no one’s busy enough to get into quarrels over anything except how to do things more efficiently.”

“no one is busy enough” should be “everyone is too busy”

The definition of paladin as being something like a holy knight, or very combat-oriented, is really only the most modern definition for the word. Originally, it was just used for the closest retainers to a ruler, that would have a lot of authority. Much of the time time they would act as judges, arbiters, and general protectors of the land.

Yrs, that did transition into them being trusted knights and such, similar to the Knights of the Round Table. But even then, those knights were typically different than regular knighted folk, having significantly more power and authority – and responsibilities – comparatively.

So Durene acting in her role as a protector of Laken and the Empire would definitely qualify her to earn a good chunk of experience.

“This is no magic. Anyone can use it. Here.”

That there is why half this world (or more) will hunt Earthlings to extinction. :) Maybe all Humans once learning how an All-Human world is (and wondering if it has always been Human-Only or BEGAN more like the continent no one calls Issyril anymore… .) Because

“It’s totally overpowered.”

How can we annihilate all life on this planet, let me count the ways… any bankrupt hat salesman can push a Red Button — TWICE — and I used the indefinite rather than definite article because there are far more than just ONE… .

If you think Old Money sneers at New Money, imagine how Lord Tyrion Veltras of the Five Families feels.

“She’s barely excavated more than a few feet of snow, and it’s been over ten minutes since we got here. If anyone’s still alive—” – double space between ‘She’s’ and ‘barely’

Thank you for providing the links! I never thought that I would follow a webseries, but I loved the first 2 audiobooks and got hooked! Now I’m loving your webseries and after chapter thoughts and the replies you get! But please get an audio book for these additional stories, they are so good!

I know I’m few years late but thank you for the translation, it’s a gorgeous song and I think your mom would have loved that you translated it for everyone!
