Coz , are they even the focal point of the story at that point or just another important character in the long lineup of perspectives introduced to us throughout the novel.

Yes ,I consider Ryoka and Ceria quite important characters from the plot’s perpective and Yes getting to know new characters with their own backstories and struggle in this world is interesting and often times engaging ….yet I can’t enjoy any of it wholeheartedly if the main charm of the story(Erin and her Antics/her blunders) is absent for such a prolonged period of time.
Watching her from other perspectives is fun and novel yet the biggest draw of this novel for me is exploring the world from HER EYES. I hope we get back to her POV soon.

She was reluctant because she wants to see Magnolia on her terms, not whenever Magnolia decides she’s tired of waiting and basically kidnaps Ryoka.

Right now, she’s trying to figure out a way to get Erin back to Liscor, make sure the Horns are all okay – and apparently figure out how best to help them with their loot, now – and get herself back to Liscor to deliver Krshia her spellbook. She also imagines there’s a very real possibility of Magnolia either killing her or imprisoning her at least semi-permanently to keep her knowledge from spreading. None of that is very conducive to readily agreeing to a visit completely out of nowhere.

So, yes, she does want to meet and talk with Magnolia, but only when she feels it’s relatively safe to do so.

Magnolia is kinda a prick, I mean even Erin wanted to beat the shiet out of her and she’s one of the nicest people in the series.

Shoving all the Runner’s Guild packages into the carriage. Running into the Goblin army out of nowhere and escaping just as quickly. Ryoka and Reynold getting freaking lit on wine. So good haha.

Also is it weird I lowkey started shipping Ryoka and Ceria in the previous chapter? When they were sitting in Ceria’s room, catching up, I just suddenly felt like they had really good vibes and compatibility. :3

THANK YOU! I was beginning to think I had hallucinated something that was never there; turns out everyone else has.

Another reminder how bad Cara looks in comparison to Ryoka, who at least recognizes and holds herself accountable for her privilege and tries to pay back the imbalance, if in her own uniquely destructive way. Frankly, I would not mind great privilege if there were consistently reliable ways to call its abuses to account. Revoking abused privileges is a pretty basic parochial principle, whether for children or the merely childish.
