The ending was really sweet though, I love that the thing that Ryoka finally relinquished is her pride. Wow so much character growth. And that she’s found a friend in Teriarch, or more like a wise old powerful grandfather figure.

Also after Teriarch gave Ryoka the gold he said “‘Now I will send you back to your city or hovel or wherever you please” she could have just said “please send me to wherever Erin Solstice is” Ahhhhh!!

I had hoped that Ryoka would have tried an impossible task before giving up, ask a general knowledge question that the dragon might not know, like the mass of the higg boson, but she just gave up right after the dragon answered a paradox with a made up word. It felt deeply underwhelming. Right after what happened, surely she would try her best to not fail her friend, but she just gave up and begged.
