True but did Erin really sleep for ten hours. That seems a bit much.

Agreed. Cooking and chemistry make a great pairing in the real world.

Octavia broke off. She paused, and then slowly turned her head and stared at Erin, the first non-hyperactive moment Erin had seen her make.

‘moment’ should be ‘movement’, i think

“No…I have an inn. It’s called, ‘The Wandering Inn.’”

“Ah. Because it wanders magically?”

IT SHOULD!! But no.

Wow, Octavia’s more of a conversational steamroller than I remembered! She and Erin are gonna get along great as soon as she slows down enough to let Erin get a word in. Maybe she could teach Erin some alchemy basics as part of her payment? It could synergize well with [Wondrous Fare], especially if there’s overlap in the ingredients they can use.

The snow wouldn’t impose nearly as much resistance on Toren, compared to a human trying to walk through it, he never gets tired, and he has at least one passive skill that helps him keep his footing all the time. Assuming the sledge stayed on top of the snow the whole way and didn’t lose too much momentum once he got it moving decently, 10 mph seems reasonable.

The fastest sprinters on Earth can manage above 20 mph. While Toren is likely slower than that, he never tires, meaning he can always run at his fastest pace. Even if the snow slowed him somewhat, he’d be going considerably more than 3 mph.

Toren can maybe run that fast… on open ground. He definitely can’t run that fast through several feet of snow, up a mountain pass, while dragging a sled. At best I can see him managing a normal walking pace, which is around 3mph.

Basically it’s the dragon cave problem again.
