How is she going to get back safely?
(I commented because I saw that the next chapter switched to a different perspective, just ignore me if this does get explained later on lol)

Ryoka is still leveling in a sense, she just denied the system that announces it. We learned from Relc during the battle with the Skinner that [Indominatible Will]
allowed him to get over fears and control himself past the Will’s of others.

After the Blood Fields, this was a Skill Ryoka denied. She was awarded this Skill but she went, No I don’t need a Skill, yet RIGHT HERE she demonstrated it’s exact usage and effect.

This means that voice isn’t anything terribly special. I assume at most it announces achievements like new Classes and Skills and instills the corresponding knowledge. Which probably stream lines advancements a great deal, but because Ryoka just knows how to do things it doesn’t serve a purpose yet. Had she become a certified [Mage] maybe it would be more useful to her.

This also lines up with my previous speculations, since we know earlier on she got the Barefoot Runner Class, and denied it of course, but still somehow beat Relc in a race “without” that advantage.

But Skills are very interesting, in that, what is there to eminating those? They feel like unique abilities, like Unerring Throw and Relc’s triple punch, as well as Olesm’s Battle Formation, which is, now that I’m thinking of it, ABSOLUTELY a kind of magic.

He said he could only use it once a day, and that same comparison was made for a wand with the prebuilt enchantment of Fireball. The day long cooldown is probably because neither Olesm nor the Wand are innately magical? And like the Fabric girl said, all things have mana in them, thus it’s probably the result of a natural replenishing rate.

SO WHAT IS ITS ROLE IN FASCILIATING THE SKILLS? Is it just more knowledge?

I’m going to be annoying a moment longer if not more,

The phrase is “I couldn’t care less”, I could care less implies you have at the very least a modicum of care.

You weren’t clear about what spell so I’m going to assume you were talking about the once that forced her to make the delivery, none of his spells could force her because he is kind, for example the spell in the blood fields was going to kill her but the intention of the spellcaster caused it to cancel itself because “the spellcaster wasn’t that cruel”, so it’s not that she’s stronger than the spells he can cast but is willing enough to kill herself that the spells stop themselves from working, the dragon would have to change his personal ideals to make a spell that could deal with her, and I say deal because he has to either change her mind (who knows but lady’s and merchants have skills to do it so why not magic) or be cruel enough to have the magic kill her rather than stoping

If she takes the same route back it’ll still be clear, animals seem to be smart in this world from what we’ve seen

I mean Erin has actually stayed pretty firm in her beliefs even if you disagree with them

Don’t get me wrong she has problems, I haven’t gotten far enough to see which are purposeful and which are accidents from the author (if any) but this is one of the few places where everything is fine, she had a decent understanding of the dragon dude from her interaction with him before (the only risk was not knowing why he asked about her the first time she visited) and utilized that knowledge to get what she wanted, she went in with a plan and enacted it which is a perfectly fine thing to do

I can’t believe she basically “nuh uh”-ed such a wizard! That’s amazing. And it makes sense she’s able to do that, it takes a lot of willpower to become a barefoot runner

Smells are chemical particulates in the air, so yes, it is quite feasible the stink would remain. For something as strong as is described in the story, it could last for quite a lot while – skunk spray can sometimes last for hours before it completely dissipates.

In addition, Teriarch roared and blew fire to frighten the frost faeries away, which would also likely keep away things from the immediate surroundings of his cave.
