A Druid is a nature focused spellcaster from what I understand. A dryad on the other hand is a creature from Greek mythology, basically a spirit that inhabits a tree.

Agreed, like Klbkchvis the straight laced rule follower and Relc is the renegade who will break all the rules so long as he gets the job done.

It could be a cultural thing, like americans not eating horse meat. Because their reaction to the iron horseshoe for example was disgust and repugnance, not pain and suffering.

They were afraid of it though, but that could be justified as the cultural significance manifesting as the faeries are more in tuned with nature, and it seems like they ‘transcended’ into this manner.

Honestly if you ask me I bet they were probably all Elves before frost sprites. Their reaction to Ceria was very interesting

…I shouldn’t still be hung up on this. But I can’t help it. The Dragoneye Moons cameo inn had legs, so now I can’t get the idea of the Wandering Inn actually wandering out of my head. I still want Pisces to animate it, give it some bone legs or something. That’d be a pretty unbeatable hook, at least.

And imagine how much she could charge rich people to decide the inn’s next destination, so they could travel in comfort.

The Frost Faeries conferred, starring hard at Erin and talking with their small hands cupped. Erin waited, sweating despite the cold, imagining her and all the Workers buried underneath a hundred tons of snow. Faeries couldn’t do that. Could they?

I think they were staring, not starring.
“Aw, no. Don’t tell me it was one of those cursed trees. Or a Dryad? I hate Dryads.”
This part is sorta out of date? It’s inconsistent with future chapters. Not a typo but close enough I thiiiiink.

Pretty happy with how this turned out for Erin, and good to see she’s not wallowing in her own despair anymore. Very interested to see how her “relationship” with the faeries will develop. Forgot to mention it in the Toren chapter, but the mention of a “shadowy figure” or something following Erin around.
probably either an assassin sent to keep tabs on her, or maybe that princess that’s been running around?
