And also, we never refer to Erin as “the white girl.” (I assume she’s white given descriptors of her hair, eye, and skin color.) I appreciate the half Asian representation, and also in contexts like this referring to her as “the Asian girl” feels mildly racist and like a lazy/careless and redundant way to differentiate Ryoka from Erin. Especially since we’ve already been reminded of Ryoka’s race multiple times in the story so far. Thank you for considering and said with love, truly!
Appreciate all the Ryoka and Erin bonding time. And yayy soooo relieved and happy that Ceria and Olesm are alive!!!

“Because that’d be really mean? I get it, though. You’re saying it’s possible to mess with the system, right?”

“Or at least take advantage of certain features. Assuming you want to follow the system, that is.”

Ryoka frowned to herself but stopped when she saw Erin looking.

“So like what did you have in mind?”

“Nothing in particular. But you know a lot of things from our world. It’s possible you could incorporate that into your inn, somehow.”

“Like how?”

“I don’t know.”

Ryoka had never put her mind to it. And now, trawling through dusty corridors below the earth wasn’t a good time to think of new ideas. She suddenly looked at Pisces, struck by a thought.

“Well, how about him?”

PUT THE INN ON LEGS! I want the Dragoneye Moons cameo to be real!!

Way late for a reply, but I imagine he was talking more about how each of the individual parts move together as a unit.

Remaking a single bone wouldn’t be that hard. Remaking a skeleton for an animal probably wouldn’t be that hard, on its own. But remaking an animal skeleton and animating it so it moves properly? That would take some real knowledge.

The animation spells are basically replicating what muscles and tendons and such do. If you don’t know how those work properly when casting the spells, you’d just end up with a skeleton bear that limps around, or can’t fully extend a limb, etc.

That being said, making something fully unique from pieces of bone would potentially be possible, and maybe even easier. You’d just have to be able to properly envision how all the parts move as a unit.

I somehow doubt that would extend to making technology out of bone, though.

So, I guess Erin isn’t alone in forgetting him lol

Ryoka a apparemment un gros malus contre les morts-vivants, enfin un peu d’équilibrage.

“Hey, it happens to all of us.”
“Did it ever happen to you?”
Erin had to think about that.
“No. But it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Anyone would freeze up if a horrible zombie tried to eat their face.” LOL. Girl, you had to be saved by plot armor at least three times in this story so far, don’t gimme that!
