Was it intentional? For the one to run away from her problems such as her anger issues to be a literal runner? Deconstructing this more it’s a bit fascinating.
I understand the irritation in her actions but I think viewing her not as a character to enjoy but a tool for what the author has to say is far more compelling.

Without significant justification and more likable traits about her, she seems to be irredeemable when she’s mad. It becomes significantly hard to read, especially from her perspective as a result. I guess the fact that I HAD to view it in a more analytical lens shows how hard it was. I just feel that there shouldn’t be this much of the gap between reader and character, especially when they’re narrating it.

That’s largely the reason why isekais are popular, because the reader already inherently understands alot about the character. But Ryoka’s attitude is just so different than most people’s.

This is definitely the MOST realistic Isekai I have ever read. Yes, it’s damn better than Re:Zero, Tensura and even Mushoku Tensei. Fuck, Ryoka, you go girl but fuck, you really need a good punch in the face because damn, I used to be like you but not this…damn berserk kind of person. Again, great chapter, last few paragraphs broke me.

It is right and justified to hate her character. It is built as such to be hated. That much is clear. It’s not impatient. We can look forward to her development while hating her current self all the same.

I really felt the inner conflict within Ryoka – the parts of her begging to stop, to make amends, to face the guilt, and the parts that felt so out of control, snowballing into greater self-sabotage, lashing out even when she didn’t want to, having lost sight of reason or cause, simultaneously knowing it wasn’t right.

It was so painful and so real to see how those fiery, fierce parts – protectors of justice, protectors against harm and bullshit that have somewhat served her in other situations – took over in this instance, when she was beyond her window of tolerance, bulldozing past any semblance of reasonable thought or conscious decision. It’s such a clear depiction of an old survival pattern, one that has played out again and again.

I don’t think Ryoka is a bad person, evil, or beyond redemption. I think Erin, by contrast, has more resilience-building and emotion-regulation skills, an easier time accepting help, perhaps less rigid thinking, some different values, and a different temperament. They are both flawed in their own ways.

I relate more to Erin and often look forward to reading Erin’s chapters, and I’m really excited to see Ryoka grow. I think right now we’re seeing her at a point where she has a ton of walls up, and she’s so competent that she hasn’t been forced to face her own limitations before so she doesn’t know how to handle feeling helpless and vulnerable. I think part of her growth arc will be learning to do just that. Facing her vulnerability and limitations and learning to let people in.

It was action pact, but it was pain to read. And not heartbreaking pain that comes from good writing. Just me not being able to read from how bad it is
Return to erin permenantly pleaseeeeee

No. The levels juat skip the part of aquiring knowledge. But you still ned to perform the task properly. So you are wrong.

Also, you take ryouka reasons face value? It is clear she is mentally ill. She doesnt level because she have some mental illness that make her stubborn without a reason. She is such a cunt for the same reason

some of yall are so clueless. erins skills teach her how to cook and craft things, do you think that just doesnt apply for combat skills and everything else?
