No kidding, Ryoka got some insane plot armor fr. Bro was on the brink of death when all those monsters attacked her and she didn’t die from the bleeding but still kept running…

nobody “assumed” erin was from another world, krshia never would have thought that if she didnt hear erin say it herself like 3 times accidentally

honestly i disagree with your first point. weve got such a good litrpg system in place that could make a lot of things interesting, but instead we get an innkeeper and edgy, asocial, narcissist that refused to level or take a class. just massive wasted potential.

It’s as if the native inhabitants are all predisposed to believing they are from another world, and they’re all just working backwards to justify that thought process.

Like they haven’t even been to the moon, all they have is their planet which really isn’t much to go off of. There’s other explanations of Erin’s lack of understanding.

And I especially didn’t like how seriously Krshia took it. Fainting when hearing some words that truly don’t have much value to you is so overboard and overly dramatic.

Like it doesn’t change her life even in the slightest.

It’s like a “plot nudge” for a lack of a better term, where characters get extra insight and lean towards the correct answer for whatever reason. A lot of books do this but it’s honestly really bothersome, especially in this case when it’s about something so big.

Like the supposed teleportation spell was seamless and they were saying how that was impossible at the start, then we see from Ryoka’s perspective that Mage who repaired her phone without even a glimmer on his fingertips.

Like in life you meet a LOT of clueless people, are you going to assume they’re from another world? Like if someone asks basic questions of gravity for example, I take that as curiosity not, OMG ANOTHER WORLD!!!! Like what if Erin was a slave? What if she lived a similar life to Antinium where they rarely even level at all. There’s so many better explanations.

We haven’t even gotten the in-world indepth theology lessons yet either so its hard to say how far and ranpant their understanding of the world really is.

They said there’s been legends of something similar(?) happening before, go more into depth on that!!!! How prevalent is this legend that I’m honestly 100% sure won’t even come up later. Because it really doesn’t make sense why transmigration is even in their minds.

Just a small rant, maybe it’s unreasonable but it’s giving me this closed world sort of feel where we live in a bubble that has no effect on anything else. I like the stuff about the Antinium War and Liscor’s importance to the resolution. But shouldn’t there be more diplomats? I also really like how the opening Dungeon actually had ripples which made other adventurers visit, and Erin even got ramsacked, that’s great worldbuilding, AND ALSO the guy who was shocked at the goblins and tried killing them. We haven’t heard of the King who awoke after taking in those Twins. My issue with the Gnolls and frankly all the characters who figured it out is its as if these characters don’t have a life to attend to, and instead they spend all their time thinking about just a generally odd human, because hey why not? She’s odd and asks questions about basic stuff. It’s weird but genuinely not that crazy, it wouldn’t be my first assumption if anyone asked something like “Hey so, Gravity makes things fall, right?”

I also don’t like how they say you humans for generally just people behaviour. Like having squabbles. Because there’s no way none of the other species DONT fight either. Especially the Drakes. It also feels predisposed, given we know how cruel our own world is.

They said there is one human for every 200 non human earlier. That species has to squabble way more to remain as the biggest number and keep enough cities for capacity

literally all people fight, animals fight too. It makes it feel inhuman if humanity’s trait is just squabbling, because that implies all other species have steady leadership, less or no revolutions and few disputes, even just ideologically, which for that to be the case, means that the species all need to be more or less monolithic, which is definitely not true (barring probably the Antinium)

okay jumbo rant over

That being said I have to admit that I am not a big fan of the 2 main characters personalities.
On one hand It’s frustrating to see Erin throwing tantrums left & right while being surprisingly thoughtless (immature?) in general.
On the other hand, Ryoka is more of a Mary Sue. It is breaking a bit my suspension of disbelief that a teenager / young adult from our world managed, as a side-hobby, to become on her spare time :
1. One of the fastest runner in a world where it’s actually a full time to job to run between cities and where your actual survival rely on outrunning beasts.
2. Better at Parkour / roof-fighting than a mid-level professional assassin specialised in that sort of activities.
3. Managing to hold her end of a fight with a professional warrior whom survival once again relies on his fighting skills.

That being said, this story remains pleasant to read and really original in its own right so kudo to the author :)

I’m reading about fantasy worlds to escape this one. I’d wanna see my family again too, but the idea of wanting to come here from a fantasy world is still hard to relate to because of the reason I picked up the story in the first place.

“How else? We give her the means to protect herself.”

Please be some sort of magic :( Poor girl’s as broken up about not having any as I would be.
